Give thanks for:

• For the teaching we’ve received from Ephesians, reminding us of who we are in Christ, and how that transforms how we live for Christ as a church.
• For the provision of Gary Nelson to provide cover for our Senior Minister Mark Rainbow, who is on sabbatical.
• A few weeks ago we had the privilege of going away together for a day to think about discipleship. We’re grateful to God for making this possible and for equipping all those who worked to make the day possible.
• For several guests from the community, who attended a recent evangelistic tapas night, where they heard Jesus preached.

Please pray for:

• That God would be maturing us as a body through his word in Ephesians, that we would grow up into Christ together, exercising our different gifts for one another’s good.
• We long to see people from Newton Hall and surrounding areas become disciples of Jesus. Please pray for a powerful work of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction of sin and to persuade people of the love of God for them in Jesus.
• Pray that the Lord would continue to uphold those at church who are experiencing trials of various kinds, and that those trials would produce steadfastness in them.
• Please pray that our leaders would walk humbly before the Lord, being refined through his gracious work in their lives, that they might love those they serve and set a helpful example for them.
