Leadership
Bishops
The AMiE Diocese is episcopally led. We believe that a bishop's primary role is to serve the local churches through their biblical teaching, prayerfulness, sharing of their ministry wisdom and their active relational care of local pastors.

Andy Lines
Diocesan Bishop
Andy is married to Mandy and they have three adult children, one of whom is married. Andy does not come from a Christian family but was converted in his teens. They live on the Isle of Wight. Andy served in a tank regiment in Germany during the Cold War. After marrying Mandy, whom he met on an expedition in Peru in 1985, they left the army to train at Bible college before heading, via Spain, to Paraguay as mission partners of the South American Mission Society. They were there throughout the 90s. Andy was ordained out there and pastored a church. From 2000 to 2018, Andy led the mission society, Crosslinks, which sought to serve churches from Great Britain and Ireland in helping them fulfil their task of partnering in world mission. Andy was consecrated as a bishop in 2017 and has the responsibility as Presiding Bishop of ANiE and Convocation Bishop of AMiE and ACE. Andy also chairs the AMiE Standing Committee.

Tim Davies
Assistant Bishop
Tim, married Tanya on April Fools’ Day 1989. They have four grown up children (Bethan, Anna, Rebekah and Caleb), two sons-in-law (Grant and Elliot) and two grandchildren. Tim was born and brought up in East Africa and much of his life revolved around that part of the world into his early 20s. A Christian family serving the Lord in an African context is where he came to faith in the Lord Jesus.
Following work in business and industry (mainly in the motor industry) Tim has served churches in a variety of settings in rural Oxfordshire and in Sheffield. He was the founding minister at Christ Church Central in 2003 and he’s still there. He has been involved with ANiE and AMiE for some time – praying for a number of years for something like AMiE and ANiE to come into existence. Tim has served the AMiE network since it begun (on the Exec and Board) and has now had the privilege of being close to the action as ANiE has been planned and comes into existence.
Most importantly – the Lord Jesus. Tim is amazed, grateful and moved by his words, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10v45)

Lee McMunn
Assistant Bishop
Lee is the Senior Minister of Trinity Church Scarborough, a church planted in May 2017. He is married to Vicky and they have three children. He has written the Identity Course and a short outreach book called Essentials.
Lee chairs the AMiE Exec Team.

Vicki Bonnett
Synod Lay Member/ Trustee
Originally from Sheffield, Vicki moved to the South Coast when she joined the Royal Navy, serving in the Education Branch for 20 years. She studied in Manchester, Leicester and Southampton and now lives with husband Clive on the Isle of Wight. Vicki is currently Development Director at HTP Apprenticeship College working with a large team of Training Consultants developing and delivering sector based vocational programmes for individuals and businesses across the South. Following conversion at a Christianity Explored course Vicki continues to worship at St James, Ryde, Isle of Wight where she leads a bible study group for women and helps organise weekend conferences and events.

Stephen Davies
Synod Lay Member/ Trustee
Stephen Davies is a member of St Joseph’s Church in Benwell along with his wife Jenny and their children. The church serves the west end of Newcastle upon Tyne and Stephen enjoys being part of the children’s work team, happily throwing himself into drama, song and games with as much bounce as a middle-aged man can reasonably deploy. In his professional life, Stephen has worked in the education sector, principally as a history teacher but also in a variety of teaching, support and management roles supporting provision ranging from nursery to adult education. Stephen became a Christian in his teens and was baptised at the end of his first term at university: he is thankful for God’s enduring faithfulness and boundless grace.

Leo Davison
Synod Clergy Member/ Trustee
It was as a science student that Leo was led to think there was something more to life and found it in the Lord Jesus. Since then life has been about getting to know Jesus more and serving Him as best he can. Currently, this is as minister of Christ Church Wyre Forest, a small church in North Worcestershire, having served previously in a number of different evangelical Anglican churches, both inside and outside the established structures. Leo was grateful, together with the church at Christ Church, to find a home within the AMiE network in 2013 and looks forward to being a founding member of the new AMiE Convocation. Leo is also on the standing committee for the Midlands Gospel Partnership, chairs the planning team for the Midlands Men’s Convention and is involved in establishing the Worcestershire Gospel Partnership. He is married to Vicky and they have 3 children.

Jan Draper
Synod Lay Member/ Trustee
Jan was born in Oldham in the early 60’s into a Christian family. She was brought up in her local Anglican Church, was in the choir and Sunday school but remembers a definite occasion when she gave her life to the Lord, when she was about 13. Jan went to university in Leeds to do a degree in Nursing and following a period of clinical work the vast majority of her career has been as an academic working in the Higher Education sector. For the last 12 years Jan worked for The Open University in Milton Keynes, doing the weekly commute (from my home in Beverley, near Hull) and home at weekends. Jan retired in April 2020, as she thought God was leading her in a new direction but wasn’t quite sure what. It turned out to be working part-time as Operations Manager in the Church she goes to – Christ Church Newland in Hull, one of three churches in her local network of which two have recently become AMiE member Churches. God has blessed Jan with three adult children – Elizabeth, Isaac and Tamar. In her spare time Jan enjoys music and ultrarunning – but not at the same time.

Terri Neal
Synod Lay Member/ Trustee
Terri was born in Hull in the early 50’s and has lived there all her life. She is married to Geoff. They met in 1971 as colleagues in the Civil Service in DHSS (DWP now) and married in 1978. They have been blessed with a daughter Rebecca who is married to Isaac.
Terri was sent to Sunday school as a child, as many of her generation were, but it wasn’t until about 1998/99 that she gave her life to Jesus. This as a result of Rebecca asking her to take her to church; being told the Gospel clearly week by week and doing the Christianity Explored course. Praise the Lord!
Terri worked in the Civil Service for 37 years until the Lord called her to work as a Pre School Nursery Assistant for St John’s Church Newland in 2007 until her retirement in 2019. She saw a number of parents come to know the Lord as a result of them being free to share their faith with them and their children. What a blessing that was to end her working life with.
Terri has been going to Riverside Church, now Christ Church Riverside, since it’s first day as a church plant. She is forever grateful to God for that vision. She has seen many of her church family come and go and many changes. Terri loves being part of her wonderful church family.

Tom Smyth
Registrar
Tom Smyth is a member of St Joseph’s Benwell, in the west end of Newcastle upon Tyne, where he is a church warden and trustee. He’s married to Dorothy, and father to two (nearly) adult children. Most of his previous work in church has been in supporting the growth and development of young people, whether as a youth worker in Battersea, various youth study groups at church or as a (recently retired) leader of cub scouts. Tom works full time in the public sector, where he supports effective economic leadership and funding across Yorkshire and the North East of England.
Tom became a Christian as a teenager, following a simple conversation at a beach mission in Newcastle, County Down.
