Give thanks for:
- Give thanks for four young people who were baptised during our morning service on 25th September. It was wonderful to hear them speaking of their faith in Jesus, and to see them inviting friends and family to come to church.
- Please also give thanks for a new youth group and community café, which have both begun in recent weeks. We’ve been thankful for people coming to both, who don’t usually come to church.
- We’re grateful to God for his sustaining of us in faith as a church family and equipping many members to persevere through trials and challenges. It’s been encouraging seeing the gospel of salvation during sermons on 1 Timothy 1 and thinking hard about being disciples of Jesus from Bible studies on the Sermon on the Mount.
Please pray for:
- Please pray that newcomers at church would feel welcome and would be strengthened in faith in Jesus.
- We’d love prayer that the new youth group and café would allow us to build connections with people from the local community and that God would use these events and existing outreach activities to bring people to faith in Jesus.
- Please pray that we would be great disciples of Jesus – receiving children in his name. We recently had a sermon series on Luke 9 and were struck by Jesus’ definition of greatness in vv.46-50.
