Give thanks for:

• We were both encouraged and challenged by our recent weekend of prayer over Pentecost weekend.
• We praise God for a recent series in Romans 5-8.
• We are so thankful to the Lord for the beginning of a Christianity Explored Course with several students.
• We are very thankful that we continue to grow numerically and so are trialling an alternative venue, but we seem to be outgrowing it.

Please pray for:

• Pray we would become a more prayerful church depending on the Holy Spirit’s power in all we do and knowing the wisdom and boldness He gives.
• Do pray for us as we try to further embed the identity we have in Christ that we have learnt of through our Romans series, into our church culture through every member prayer as we look at the “Caring for One Another” by Ed Welch in discipleship groups.
• Do pray for the Christianity Explored course to bear fruit, as well as for our outreach focus in June. We plan to visit homes near the pub door to door and invite people to our “Real Lives , Real Church” series. This is a series where church members are interviewed to narrate the story of their faith in Christ and how he has changed their lives, with the sermons being particularly geared to those who have little knowledge of the Bible.
• Please pray for wisdom to know what venue would enable growth, yet maintain our homely welcome, without losing our good relationship with the pub. Pray that we can stay relationally small as we grow.
• As we grow, there is the need to delegate beyond the church council. Please pray for many truthful and gracious conversations that enable people to move into the following areas – tech, music, policy writing, pastoral care, student ministry, kids work and project management.
