Give thanks:
- For lots of children and young people who went to different Christian camps over the summer. Give thanks to for many adults in the congregation who were leaders or volunteers in other capacities.
- For a programme of summer events as part of our ‘Shared Life’ ministry that was well attended and well received. From live-stream of the Keswick Convention, to visits to garden centres, to coffee and cake in gardens, to walks in local parks, and our annual beach trip to Bridlington, praise God that these events promoted connection amongst the congregation.
- For three new ministry trainees that have joined the staff team.
Please pray:
- For the Student Welcome Week beginning on September 15th, that all the activities planned would build up our current student group (Rooted in Christ), result in many new Christian Freshers joining us, and for impactful outreach on the university campus.
- For ‘Restored’ – a four-week evangelistic course starting on September 19th, beginning with a meal followed by discussion. Pray that people would invite their unbelieving friends and family, and that many would come to know the saving power of the gospel.
- For ‘Wounded and Weeping’ on September 20th, an evangelistic evening of live music, poetry, drama and visual arts which will explore the theme of suffering. Pray for guests to come and hear the truth of the gospel.
- For our three new ministry trainees as they settle into their new roles and as they begin studying with Crosslands. Pray these traineeships would enable them all to grow in maturity and knowledge and love of God.
