Give thanks for:
- For the Standing Committee and the many ways in which they serve AMiE. The Standing Committee work hard behind the scenes all year round, but the weeks and months leading up to Synod were particularly busy with reports and proposals to prepare on top of their ongoing roles and responsibilities.
- For their willingness to serve AMiE in this way, their prayerfulness in decision-making and their diligence in their roles.
- At the end of last week there was a joint Standing Committee and Executive Team meeting. This provided a great opportunity for the two groups together to think through how to develop and strengthen all that AMiE seeks to do.
Please pray for:
- Please pray that, following on from the meeting, the useful time spent together would lead to helpful and productive actions. Pray for wisdom and creativity to implement our discussions.
- Pray too for the Standing Committee following on from Synod last month. Many of the resolutions passed granted Standing Committee the power to make further decisions including the appointment of four new members to Standing Committee.
- Please pray for the Standing Committee as they seek to make these appointments. May they find people who are godly in character and keen to serve in this way.
