Monday 8th December
We’d love people to be praying for a couple of AMiE churches each day as they seek to share the good news of Jesus in the run up to Christmas.
Hope Church East Cowes
- For us at Hope to rejoice afresh that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
- For the Spirit to open the eyes of people living on the Hawthorn Meadows estate, as we seek to invite them all to our Christmas events.
- For some gospel connections with new people this Christmas time.
Life Church Hackbridge
- Praise God that we launched in September, and have seen new people joining us every week since! Some are dechurched – pray they’d find a home amongst us. Some are unbelievers – pray they’d be born again by God’s Spirit.
- Thank God for the sacrificial, willing and joyful service of the church members – pray they’d be encouraged by God’s grace as they serve and do so out of an overflow of God’s love pouring into their hearts.
- Ask God for his help, wisdom and provision as we prayerfully seek to raise up a leadership team to advise, support and encourage Jonny, our Minister in his pastoral oversight.
Christ Church Newland
- That the whole church family will grow in our love and joy in Jesus as we use the Advent book “Hallelujah”.
- That the 450 Bibles we have purchased to give away over Christmas will make it into the hands of unbelievers. Pray that they will read the word and encounter the risen Lord Jesus in a saving way.
- That our door-to-door work and flyering will result in many guests at our traditional carol service on the 21st December. Ask the Lord to open the eyes of the blind.
Hope Church Goldthorpe
- For fruit from our wreath-making event on 29th November.
- For the Lord to bring unbelievers to faith in him through our carols by candlelight on 18th December and pop-up nativity on 21st.
- For people to come to our “Searching for something?” series on Sundays in January and come to know Jesus.
Cornerstone Church Colchester
- For our Christmas events and gospel impact. Please pray that many people will come along to our Christmas events. More importantly, pray that the Holy Spirit would convict people of their need for Jesus and draw them to Him.
- For our follow-up course, 321. In the New Year, we plan to run a follow-up course called 321. Please pray that those who attend our Christmas events would also come to this course, and that, in time, they would become followers of Jesus.
- For our recent outreach. We delivered over 250 leaflets around the school where we meet. We had several gospel conversations and shared gospels and tracts. Pray that ongoing relationships would grow from these interactions.
Hope Church Tyneside
- For the Lord to work powerfully to enable three things to happen: pray for the church family to joyfully celebrate Christmas this year, pray for those we know to hear about Jesus and for people we don’t yet know to hear about Jesus too.
- We have two evangelistic events on Saturday 13th December: a Christmas story-telling and craft morning in the local library (morning) and a community Christingle carol service in a local community centre (afternoon).
- For ‘follow-through’ into the New Year. We are thankful to God that lots of non-Christian friends and contacts will be hearing bitesize gospel content this Christmas. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to compel a few individuals and a family to join us regularly Sunday by Sunday at Hope Church in 2026. We long for the Lord to be adding to our number those who he is saving.
Christ Church Riverside, Hull
- For lasting gospel fruit from the really encouraging evangelistic Christmas quiz we held in November and for God to work through the nativity service on the 14th December and the Network carol services on the 7th and 21st.
- For some of the unbelieving seniors connected to the church to put their faith in Jesus Christ over the Advent period as they hear the gospel at their Christmas lunch.
- For a good response from the church family to our Christmas bible giveaway and for many in our community to receive this gift with enthusiasm and begin to read God’s word.
Holy Trinity Gateshead
- For boldness in inviting our friends, family, neighbours, colleagues, and community to come along to events throughout advent, and for courage to have honest and open conversations with them about Jesus.
- For much gospel fruit from our ladies’ Christmas chocolate event (5th December), carols by candlelight services (14th), carols in the park (21st), Christingle service (24th) and various children and youth events happening throughout December.
- For a good number to sign up for the Christianity Explored course we’ll be running in January 2026 and to come to faith in Jesus as they discover more about our wonderful Saviour.
Christ Church Salisbury
- For our evening carol service on Saturday 20th December.
- For many guests to also come along to our Christmas Day service.
Hope City Church Wolverhampton
- For our Christmas services on the 14th and 21st of December. Pray that they’d be well attended and for a real sense of God’s grace and presence.
- We’ve been invited into a local SEND school to lead some Christingle services. Please pray that we’re able to make good connections with the staff and pupils as we share the good news with them.
- For our outreach team who will be out in Wolverhampton city centre each week in the run up to Christmas giving out, tracts and invites to our Christmas services.
