Give thanks for:
- For Tim and Nicky Sandell and their two boys. Pray for them all as they settle into life in Sheffield and at CCC, and adjust to the cultural changes of life back in the UK. Give thanks that Tim started in his new role as Assistant Minister this week. Pray for him as he gets to know the team and church family better, and makes plans for student ministry in the autumn term.
- For Sheffield International Outreach ‘Peace for Sheffield’. A team of 11 people (from various churches around the country) knocked on 1,000 doors, spoke with 400 people, and now have 20+ people to follow up who are willing to receive another visit or a Bible. Pray for the Spirit to be at work softening hearts and bringing conviction.
Please pray for:
- For Steve King (our Youth and Children’s Worker) as he leads a team to plan this summer’s holiday club and thinks about how best to disciple and make provision for our growing youth group.
- For the Olive Tree Cafe and Games Night – a new initiative to provide a safe place of welcome for all asylum seekers and refugees, to alleviate loneliness and isolation, and to share the love of God through friendship and a Bible thought each week.
- For our Staff Team day away on 11 July. Pray for God’s wisdom and grace as we review/reflect on the past year and pray/plan for the future.
